Five days in Paris at the most prestigious handmade biennale that exists: I take you inside this fair, then deeper into the ateliers, the addresses and the joie de vivre that sustain this métier, the Paris that is not on any map.
Laissez-Faire is the discipline of the week: to let the body perceive through the hands, without hurry. It is PreSensing in the field, in its most intimate format.

( a ) The thesis
Savoir faire as a vector, not as a refuge.
This is not nostalgia for the artisan, and it is not an escape from technology, it is the handmade read as a strategic vector.
The more everything becomes replicable at infinite scale, the more the unrepeatable gesture becomes positioning, savoir faire is not the opposite of AI, it is the answer to it, and whoever reads it first, moves ahead.
Révélations 2025
550 makers from 35 countries, 45.000 visitors and 24 percent growth over the previous edition, with architects, museum curators and creative directors of luxury houses inside the Grand Palais.
We do not use it as an aesthetic reference, we use it as a method, and the method lives here.

I read European handmade on the ground, not in reports.
For years I have walked the fairs where the craft of this continent actually shows itself, and this is why I can take you inside them, I already know where to look, whom to ask, and what to ignore.

Closing without hurry
A slow breakfast and a last conversation before each one leaves for her flight.
The exact order between biennale and ateliers may shift with the opening agenda of the Biennale and the availability of the partner ateliers, the content stays the same. Whoever wants to extend the stay after the 23rd, Giverny or the Fondation Louis Vuitton for instance, can count on me to help organise it separately.
( e ) Why only 3 places
This is not a group, it is a petit comité.
Three places, that is all, because individual mentoring in a group of ten is not mentoring, it is a lecture with an accent of exclusivity. The exclusivity here is not material luxury, it is time, attention and access to places that are not open to anyone.
And everyone stays in the same hotel as me, not for logistics but by design. Breakfast is part of the method, it is where we compare what each one saw the day before, question each other's reading and sharpen our own.

You organise your own stay and everything else in the programme stays the same, including the daily mentoring at the group breakfast.
Payment in 6 instalments from November to April, the last one closing before departure in May. Places are confirmed in order of confirmation, no application process, it is a direct conversation with me.
