Where perception becomes design, and design becomes a way of living well.

In a world flooded with information, perception is the real value. In Conscious Living I help visionary designers, architects and brands create from a truer read of what is emerging, through the body.

I read the signals of culture before they become trend, and turn that reading into design decisions, products and ways of living that make sense for the next years.

Curator

Fah Maioli

Close portrait of Fah Maioli in warm daylight

Italian Brazilian author of four books, Fah Maioli has spent 27 years decoding cultural change, working with global brands, mainly across Europe, through Studio Fah Maioli. She is the creator of Metatrends, an original methodology for trend research, of Iogaia, a platform exploring conscious living, body and wellbeing, and of the Wellness Design framework, connecting design, body and human wellbeing. She is also co owner of The Domanists, a platform dedicated to unlearning through immersive experiences.

Her research goes deeper into perception itself: how the sensing body experiences, interprets and gives meaning to the world, and how this can transform the way we design and live.

( b ) The construction

Where the Conscious Living ecosystem begins.

1999

Pioneered coolhunting and trend analysis in Brazil, the first structured reading of cultural signals in the country.

2008

Living in Milan, between my Master at IULM and IED and encounters with Umberto Eco, Domenico De Masi, Elio Fiorucci, Li Edelkoort and Francesco Morace, I shaped my own way of reading culture and archetypes. Metatrends is born, and the first trend report of the series is published.

2012

I publish the first coolhunting manual in Brazil, and later the coolhunting manual for entrepreneurs, commissioned by SEBRAE. Four books so far.

2023

Iogaia is created as a yogic lifestyle for women’s wellness, and evolves into a broader exploration of conscious living through the body.

Today

PreSensing: research into how the sensing body perceives, interprets and gives meaning to the world, and how that transforms the way we design and live.

( c ) The Ecosystem

4 rooms, one continuous practice.

Conscious Living is not a list of services, it is a house with 4 rooms you can walk through, and see how each one opens into the next.

PreSensing: where the reading of culture and the calibration of the body meet, and perception becomes a design decision. This is the room where everything converges.

( d ) Methodology

Metatrends, reading cultural change.

We read the zeitgeist through observation and archetypal patterns to uncover the deeper forces shaping life, revealing new forms of design and new ways of living.

Since 2008

One report per year, an unbroken archive of eighteen editions, reading the forces of each season before they became visible.

Books

Four books, among them the first coolhunting manual published in Brazil and the coolhunting manual for entrepreneurs, commissioned by SEBRAE.

( e ) Metatrends experiences

See the future in the present.

Since 2010 I have been taking curious minds into the heart of cultural change, and more than 1200 professionals and brands have walked these journeys with me, in Paris, Milan, London and Venice.

PreSensing

Perceiving before the form appears.

Born from Metatrends and Iogaia. Individual mentoring with me, online or in person in Europe, for designers, architects and leaders who want depth rather than a course. I show you the invisible through the visible, and we turn those insights into your next work.

Letters on zeitgeist perception

Signals before they become trend.

One article a month with the juice of the signals before they become trend, and with what I am observing in Europe.
